Origin

When a local resident of West St. Augustine desired to highlight the beauty, history and plight of the West King neighborhood. He approached the elected bench in the City and made a charge to address the needs of what lies West of 1.

Various business owners decided to take that as an opportunity to build a festival and discover what was possible. Long time resident and established business owner Barry Broudy, was also keen to bring visitors across US1 from the historic district, led the concept and that was that. The idea was born and many businesses who have chosen to anchor their livelihoods in West King came to task; Cheese Wheel, Solar Stik, Paper Root Clothing to name a few.The concept of a music festival, thanks in large part to available open space donated by Mr. Broudy, was born. But it must be noted, our great city leadership has also decided to do what they can this first year to support a renaissance of sorts for the West King area. Budgeting holiday lighting, commitment to capital improvements and being a partner of the event in guidance and concepts to help ensure a success.

Finally, it is taking a heavy lift from our local community of dedicated cash sponsors to make this a reality. Flagler Hospital, Broudy Liquors, Ameris Bank, Solar Stik, AE Engineering, and more.
